Keon Hughes is a New York City based artist from Savannah, Georgia. He began his dance training at the age of 9 years old at his local visual and performing arts school. Keon continues his artistry at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, pursuing a B.F.A. in Dance and minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. He specializes in dance performance and choreography, along with dance cinematography. Within these specialties, Keon has dance experience in ballet, modern, tap, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop. He has performed works by Dwight Rhoden, Stephen Petronio, Camille Brown, and multiple self-choreographed pieces. Through all of his projects, Keon Hughes strives to form relatability between academia and personal narrative through new discoveries in choreography of others and his own.
